Wikipedia states "Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the visibility of a web site or a web page in search engines via the "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results."

Yesterday, I began this process by adding my website www.tarahusband.com to different search engines.  Go Daddy has a product that had me "tag" behind my website search engine words that were searchable and real to the site.  I have also read it is better to keep it on one theme.  Instead of using the word "communications strategist" which nobody searches on, I used the term marketing, blogging, etc.

Finally, I went to www.bing.com, www.google.com, and a few others that were small search engines.  I did not do yahoo because they wanted $299.  The others were all free.

I may look into paying for search engine optimization help, so people can really find this website.  SEO is a long and continual process.  It will take a few days before the search engine even picks it up.  I will let you know if anything happens in the Statistics file.  Right now, no hits.

We'll investigate this further because there are many ways to make this blog go "viral."  We're just a starting the fun.
